I'm going to show you how Enoch was shown things and Jesus confirms them in the gospels.
The book of Enoch gives illumination to the origin of many statements made by many Old Testament prophets, like Moses and New Testament prophets, like Peter and Paul, and even by Jesus himself.
Did you know the Ethiopic translation is the most ancient source of the books of Enoch?
The Book of Enoch is a composite work of 108 chapters, compiled in five sections or “books”.
Chapters 1-5 serve as a kind of introduction to the whole work and esp. its major themes of rewards and punishment, the end of the world, and the final judgment.
Book I is concerned mostly with angels and the universe.
Book II is composed of three parables or similitudes.
Book III is about the Heavenly Luminaries. It's an almost purely scientific systematic discourse on a subject.
Book IV consists of two lengthy visions predicting the future history of Israel.
Book V is a work which includes exhortations for the righteous and curses for the wicked. Chapters 91-105.
The conclusion relates to the increase of sin after the Flood until the Messianic reign.
The final chapter again returns to the theme of rewards for the righteous and punishment for the wicked.
But I'd like to focus on the chapters that are most relative to our time and the time we're approaching, starting in chapter 91.
Some people say that if the book of Enoch was credible, then it would've been included in our Bibles today, but people making that argument are not aware of the fact that it was in the Bible for over 500 years. Another side note, you might find interesting is that the book of Enoch confirms what the Bible says about the Earth not being a round Globe, or planet. The same logic, that some people try to use and say well the moon is round, and the sun is round... Therefore, the Earth must be a planet like them. Oranges are round tomatoes are round, so bananas must be round... There ALL fruit aren't they?
Why do I keep talking about the book of Enoch? Well, it's because the book of Enoch was written mainly for those of us living in these last days.
In chapter 91 of the book of Enoch, he tells his son Methuselah to gather all of his brothers, and to share this information with them and to encourage them on the importance of walking righteously.
[Chapter 91]
3 And he spake unto all the children of righteousness and said: 'Hear, ye sons of Enoch, all the words of your father, And hearken aright to the voice of my mouth; For I exhort you and say unto you, beloved: 4 Love uprightness and walk therein. And draw not nigh to uprightness with a double heart, And associate not with those of a double heart, But walk in righteousness, my sons. And it shall guide you on good paths, And righteousness shall be your companion. (exactly what Enoch is telling his sons is that there is no room for compromise with evil. The apostle James said, a double minded man is unstable in all his ways... The apostle Paul wrote to Timothy and talked about the same kind of people. 5 holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people. 2 Timothy 3:5
5 For I know that violence must increase on the earth, (Jesus told us the same thing. "12 Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold. Matthew 24:12)
Paul also said, But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. 2 Timothy 3:1-8
And a great chastisement be executed on the earth,
And all unrighteousness come to an end:
Yea, it shall be cut off from its roots,
And its whole structure be destroyed. (here Enoch prophecies of the great flood)
6 And unrighteousness shall again be consummated on the earth,
And all the deeds of unrighteousness and of violence
And transgression shall prevail in a twofold degree. (now Enoch is speaking of the last days that Jesus warned about too.)
(Enoch is talking about the time we are entering... the deeds of unrighteousness and violence and transgression will prevail in a two fold degree... Meaning, having two parts or aspects .... being twice as great.)
Jesus said, 21 For at that time there will be a great tribulation (pressure, distress, oppression), such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will [again].22 And if those days [of tribulation] had not been cut short, no human life would be saved; but for the sake of the elect (God’s chosen ones) those days will be shortened. Matthew 24:21-22
7 And when sin and unrighteousness and blasphemy And violence in all kinds of deeds increase, And apostasy and transgression and uncleanness increase, A great chastisement shall come from heaven upon all these, And the holy Lord will come forth with wrath and chastisement To execute judgement on earth.
8 In those days violence shall be cut off from its roots, And the roots of unrighteousness together with deceit, And they shall be destroyed from under heaven.
9 And all the idols of the heathen shall be abandoned, And the temples burned with fire, And they shall remove them from the whole earth, And they (i.e. the heathen) shall be cast into the judgement of fire, And shall perish in wrath and in grievous judgement for ever. (Revelation gives us great details on exactly what will happen during this time.)
10 And the righteous shall arise from their sleep,
And wisdom shall arise and be given unto them.
11 [And after that the roots of unrighteousness shall be cut off, and the sinners shall be destroyed by the sword . . . shall be cut off from the blasphemers in every place, and those who plan violence and those who commit blasphemy shall perish by the sword.]
12 And now I tell you, my sons, and show you
The paths of righteousness and the paths of violence.
Yea, I will show them to you again
That ye may know what will come to pass.
13 And now, hearken unto me, my sons,
And walk in the paths of righteousness,
And walk not in the paths of violence;
For all who walk in the paths of unrighteousness shall perish for ever.'
It's with the apostle Peter said,7 But by His word the present heavens and earth are being reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly people. 2 Peter 3:7
[Chapter 92]
1 The book written by Enoch-[Enoch indeed wrote this complete doctrine of wisdom, which is praised of all men and a judge of all the earth] for all my children who shall dwell on the earth. And for the future generations who shall observe uprightness and peace. (did you get that... future generations... that's us.)
2 Let not your spirit be troubled on account of the times;
For the Holy and Great One has appointed days for all things.
(Jesus said, “Do not let your heart be troubled (afraid, cowardly). Believe [confidently] in God and trust in Him, [have faith, hold on to it, rely on it, keep going and] believe also in Me. John 14:1
"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding." John 16:33
3 And the righteous one shall arise from sleep,
[Shall arise] and walk in the paths of righteousness,
And all his path and conversation shall be in eternal goodness and grace.
4 He will be gracious to the righteous and give him eternal uprightness,
And He will give him power so that he shall be (endowed) with goodness and righteousness.
And he shall walk in eternal light.
5 And sin shall perish in darkness for ever,
And shall no more be seen from that day for evermore.
(and the book of Enoch is confirmed by the angel of the Lord Jesus Christ in Revelation 20:10-14)
It doesn't get any more clear than what we just talked about and you have a choice while you're still breathing and living in this world. You have a choice to choose life or choose death? Making no choice means you've already made your choice to stay in a lost and condemned state before God.
If you refuse and reject God's love, you've made your decision, and God will never take your free will from you. Men are working hard to take your free will from you, but God never will. If you don't have a personal relationship with Yeshua Messiah, then I encourage you go down in the description box below... you'll find a link that will take you to a page that will help lead you in a simple prayer to receive Jesus as the Lord and Savior of your life.
